Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts; one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on therapy to a diverse caseload of 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from orthopedic surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions with personalized treatment plans
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional acute inpatient care
Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize patient outcomes
Support patients through every stage of their recovery journey in a fast-paced hospital setting

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfortable working with a wide range of diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and stroke recovery

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills for acute care patients
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality care
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to cover occasional evening shifts and weekend rotations
