Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
Float to similar PCU and MedSurg units to support patient care across the facility
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Provide culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population from diagnosis through remission

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, and ICP
Comfortable with chemotherapy administration and titration of common drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
