Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care aligned with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Follow individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
- Administer medications accurately and on time while maintaining strong assessment skills
- Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
- Maintain a safe environment through universal precautions and proactive safety awareness
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
- 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to lead and educate nursing support staff
- Commitment to safety standards and infection control practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
