Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical medications such as Magnesium and Oxytocin to ensure safe deliveries
Support postpartum recovery by caring for mom-baby couplets with personalized attention
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while focusing on newborn circulation
Float to medical-surgical or emergency departments as a helping hand when needed
Maintain accurate fetal monitoring using the OB Trace Vue system

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and Delivery expertise
Postpartum and Neonatal care knowledge
Fetal monitoring and EFM interpretation
Titration of antepartum and postpartum medications
Neonatal CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow support
AWHONN staffing guideline awareness
