Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a variety of patients including those recovering from general, orthopedic, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with remote tele techs and the interdisciplinary team for seamless care delivery
Support patients with respiratory needs using BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to broaden your experience
Educate and advocate for patients with conditions like COVID, diabetes, stroke, and GI disorders

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with surgical, CVA, and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to minimal orientation time

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip signing
Care for post-surgical and neurological patients
Managing patients on set-rate drips like Diltiazem
Using BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow equipment
Navigating Cerner documentation system
Floating between units with a positive attitude
