Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with psychiatrists, security, and behavior health techs to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and perform procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
Support patients with dementia, confusion, and low cognitive ability through empathetic communication
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with Cerner EMR experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills check-off on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Behavioral health awareness and de-escalation techniques
Video monitoring and safety protocols
Cerner electronic medical record documentation
