Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Med‑Surg and Telemetry patients using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for acute and chronic conditions
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac and clinical changes
• Administer medications safely and document care accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including Cath Lab and orthopedic services to support patient flow
• Participate in call rotation and provide reliable coverage when staffing needs arise
• Support observation unit workflows and assist with transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association (required)
• Current ACLS issued by the American Heart Association (required for Intermediate Care/CCU coverage)
• Minimum of 2 years of Acute Care/Med‑Surg/Telemetry RN experience (required); posting also references at least 3 years of Med‑Surg experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and nursing assessment
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and participate in call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning using the nursing process
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Acute care and Med‑Surg skills, including observation unit workflows
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Ability to function in CCU/Intermediate Care settings as needed
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, variable census environment (ortho, hybrid cath lab procedures)
