Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered overnight nursing care
• Perform timely patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Respond to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns when needed
• Support patient comfort, safety, and transitions during the night shift
• Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure (as applicable)
• Authorization to practice in Maine (state licensure or compact eligibility as required)
• Clinical experience preferred; per-diem and overnight experience a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy
• Strong documentation skills and professional communication

Education

• Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or BSN as required to hold RN/LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Basic clinical skills relevant to RN/LPN scope of practice
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a busy night environment
• Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Comfort with electronic medical records and standard clinical tools
