Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Magnesium and Oxytocin with precision
Support mom-baby couplets through the beautiful journey of postpartum recovery
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while ensuring the safest outcomes for baby
Float to medical-surgical and emergency departments when needed to lend a helping hand
Deliver expert care using CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow systems for our tiniest patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural setting with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines
Experience with OB Trace Vue fetal monitoring system
Ability to manage antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to float to other units as a helping resource
