Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Perform rapid triage and assessment to prioritize patient needs in a busy ER
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care
Document patient status and interventions clearly and promptly in the medical record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, following established protocols

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact license as applicable)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Previous ER or acute care experience preferred; per-diem clinicians welcome
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-paced emergency team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Familiarity with common ER procedures and monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation proficiency
