Shift Type: Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation, varied shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide primary nursing care to patients in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac strips with precision
Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing as part of routine care
Float to various acute care units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed
Utilize Meditech charting and Pyxis medication systems effectively
Deliver compassionate care while maintaining the highest clinical standards

Qualifications

Active Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
Minimum 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience
Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
BLS/BCLS certification required
ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Fingerstick blood sugar testing
Meditech electronic charting system
Pyxis medication management
BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
