Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts scheduled, including night and weekend shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care using the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
Collaborate with physicians during rounds and implement patient care orders
Assist with dialysis procedures and oversee technicians to ensure safe, effective treatments
Educate patients on self-care, dietary management, medications, and chronic kidney disease
Monitor patients and equipment throughout each dialysis session for safety and comfort
Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies with proper equipment and protocols
Coordinate with dietitians, social workers, and the care team to set and review patient goals
Maintain accurate records and communicate patient information across care settings

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Utah
Current BLS certification required
Preferred six months of experience in a chronic dialysis facility
ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of the nursing process and dialysis care
Ability to educate patients on self-management and prevention of complications
Skilled in monitoring dialysis equipment and maintaining a safe environment
Excellent communication and collaboration with physicians and care teams
Emergency response readiness and patient advocacy
