Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgical teams in 7 OR suites and 2 Endo suites
Support patients through pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
Assist with neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, and Da Vinci robotic procedures
Respond to ER trauma cases when needed
Maintain flexibility to adapt to daily surgical schedules
Mentor and educate fellow team members
Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care quality

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in neurosurgery and all major surgical service lines
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to comply with artificial nail policy

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Experience across neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, and general surgery
Familiarity with Da Vinci robotic procedures
Pre/Post op and PACU experience preferred
ER trauma response capabilities
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Flexibility to float between OR, Pre/Post, PACU, and ER as needed
