Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units providing exceptional patient care
Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient needs
Care for post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and CABG patients on stepdown units
Collaborate with charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver quality care
Provide compassionate care to geriatric and orthopedic patients across both campuses

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Comfortable managing multiple titratable drips

Knowledge & Skills

Dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Titratable drip management and medication administration
Post-procedural care including groin site management
BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high flow oxygen therapy
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
