Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac and telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while managing titratable drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Deliver specialized PCU-level care when overflow patients require closer monitoring
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients recovering from cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemaker placements
Respond to diverse patient needs ranging from COVID BiPAP management to sepsis and acute on chronic conditions
Float to PCU, med-surg, and ER boarding areas as a valued helping hand across the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU experience with proven ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Epic experience preferred but not required
Open to first-time travelers who meet the clinical requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Safe titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
BiPAP, trach, and Airvo equipment management
Excellent assessment skills for complex cardiac and medical patients
Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple units
