Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including post-surgical, medical, and telemetry patients
Interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with the care team to manage patients across MST and PCU levels
Precept and mentor nursing students as opportunities arise
Float to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus as needed to support patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience preferred with telemetry experience
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Willingness to care for both MST and PCU patients and float to other units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Comfort managing patients with COPD, pneumonia, post-surgical needs, and withdrawal protocols
Experience with stable CPAP/BiPAP patients
Ability to precept nursing students
Flexibility to float across multiple units and adapt to varying patient ratios
