Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Day shift, 5-hour shifts (exact start/end times vary; schedule to be confirmed). Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans
Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to patients and families
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
Document nutrition assessments, plans, and progress accurately in the medical record
Participate in orientation and departmental meetings to stay aligned with facility protocols
Ensure compliance with facility, regulatory, and accreditation standards related to nutrition services

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
Active or eligible for state licensure in California
Strong clinical experience in acute or pediatric nutrition preferred
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or willingness to obtain

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (ACEND-accredited program preferred)
Completion of supervised practice/DPD or dietetic internship required for RD credential

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical nutrition assessment and intervention
Care plan development and outcome measurement
Patient and family education with a compassionate approach
Electronic health record documentation and charting
Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
