Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-26-2026

End Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts; one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for general medical, post-surgical, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize functional outcomes
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working across multiple hospital departments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Familiarity with post-op protocols for TKA, THA, and spinal procedures
Team-oriented mindset with adaptability across units
