Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive safe and effective drug therapy by reviewing medication orders and monitoring therapy
• Manage drug distribution including unit dose systems and IV admixtures with accuracy and attention to safety
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and collaborate with care teams to optimize medication use
• Teach and mentor staff, students, and other clinicians to strengthen pharmacy practice and patient care
• Perform administrative duties to maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Lead or contribute to research and quality improvement projects that advance pharmacy services
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required (this is not a retail role)
• Familiarity with unit dose systems, IV admixtures, and drug distribution workflows
• Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic medication systems
• Self-directed with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in clinical pharmacy practice and technical pharmacy operations
• Active pharmacist licensure (or ability to obtain state licensure) as required by the facility

• Clinical pharmacy principles and medication therapy management
• Drug distribution processes and unit dose operations
• Preparation and verification of IV admixtures
• Technical pharmacy practice and hospital formulary management
• Electronic medication records and pharmacy informatics
• Teaching, precepting, and research fundamentals
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge for state and federal pharmacy laws
