Roles & Responsibilities

• Assure that each patient’s drug therapy needs are met through accurate, timely pharmacy services
• Manage drug distribution operations including unit dose and IV admixtures
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services and collaborate with the care team to optimize therapy
• Maintain regulatory compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws and facility policies
• Provide teaching and mentorship to staff and learners, shaping the next generation of clinicians
• Perform administrative duties and contribute to pharmacy operations and quality improvement
• Design and conduct research projects that advance clinical practice and patient outcomes
• Use pharmacy computer systems effectively to document, dispense, and monitor medication therapy

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required — must have experience beyond retail practice
• Self-directed professional who takes initiative and works well independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
• Familiarity with unit dose systems, IV admixtures, and drug distribution workflows
• Comfortable with clinical pharmacy practice and technical pharmacy operations
• Experience with pharmacy computer systems and basic informatics workflows
• Demonstrated ability to participate in teaching, administrative work, and research activities

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacy principles and bedside medication therapy optimization
• Unit dose packaging and distribution workflows
• Preparation and oversight of IV admixtures and sterile compounding awareness
• Regulatory compliance knowledge for State and Federal pharmacy regulations
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and electronic medication records
• Strong communication, teaching, and mentorship skills
• Administrative skills including documentation, policy adherence, and quality initiatives
• Research literacy and ability to contribute to clinical studies or practice improvement
