Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings using sound clinical judgment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence and quality of life
Provide skilled therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies tailored to each patient
Document patient progress and care accurately in the EMR to support continuity and outcomes
Manage a diverse caseload independently while prioritizing patient safety and goals
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home programs, and community resources
Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Active California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
2-3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings
Proficiency with EMR documentation and general computer systems
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently with clinical confidence

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (accredited program)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and treatment planning
EMR documentation best practices
Caseload management across multiple care settings
Acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient, and skilled nursing care experience
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
Analytical thinking and clinical problem-solving
Effective verbal and written communication
Commitment to continuous professional learning

Benefits

Full-time sign-on bonus: $10,000
Part-time sign-on bonus: $5,000
13-step clinical pay scale with progression up to 30 years of service
