Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform precise laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and more to deliver critical patient insights
• Maintain analyzers with weekly and monthly checks, ensuring top-notch accuracy every time
• Run quality control and proficiency testing, troubleshooting like a pro to uphold lab excellence
• Train fellow techs on new equipment and procedures, becoming the go-to expert in your section
• Call critical results promptly to physicians, making a real difference in patient care
• Manage inventory, document meticulously, and keep the lab running smoothly for seamless operations

Qualifications

• ASCP certification or equivalent (required or obtained within 1 year)
• Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist credentials
• 1+ years of related lab experience preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and keen attention to detail

Education

• Two-year Medical Laboratory Technician degree required
• Four-year degree from an accredited program or two-year degree with MT AAB Certification for Medical Technologist

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in laboratory tests, quality control, and instrument maintenance
• Proficiency in hematology, microbiology, serology, blood gas, chemistry, and blood bank
• Strong troubleshooting skills for test inconsistencies and equipment issues
• Ability to analyze data, perform calibrations, and educate staff effectively
