Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, patient-centered ambulatory care and support during clinic visits
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and medication lists accurately
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and point-of-care testing
- Maintain clear, timely communication with patients and the care team
- Support efficient clinic flow by triaging tasks and coordinating patient check-in/check-out
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent medical assistant certification preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain during orientation
- Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment and assisting providers
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and infection control practices
- Ability to accurately record vitals and perform specimen collection
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Time management and organizational skills to keep clinic flow smooth
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn clinic-specific software
