Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver critical care to ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients in a dynamic 10-bed multi-care unit
Titrate essential drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin with confidence
Monitor cardiac rhythms, perform 12-lead EKGs, and manage bedside telemetry for high-acuity cases
Collaborate with RT for vents, BiPAP, and CPAP support while providing primary care
Float strategically to maintain skills across ICU, PCU, and Med Surg settings
Advocate for patients facing sepsis, respiratory issues, DKA, and post-op complications

Qualifications

Active RN license ready to submit
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities
Pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
No recent employment with CommonSpirit facilities within 50-mile radius or past year

Education

BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating drips and managing vents/CPAP/BiPAP
Strong cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and telemetry skills
Handling complex cases like sepsis, COPD, DKA, and substance withdrawal
Adapting to variable ratios based on acuity: 1:2 ICU, 1:4 PCU, 1:5-6 Med Surg
