Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care to ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients in a dynamic 10-bed multi-care unit
• Titrate essential drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin with confidence
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, perform 12-lead EKGs, and manage bedside monitoring for high-acuity cases
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists on vents, BiPAP, and CPAP support
• Float strategically to maintain skills across ICU, PCU, and med surg settings
• Provide compassionate care for complex cases like sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-op complications

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience (or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
• No recent employment with CommonSpirit facilities (50-mile radius rule and no perm work in last 12 months)

Education

• RN licensure required; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in titrating drips and managing non-titratable infusions
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and high-acuity patient care
• Strong skills in handling sepsis, COPD, DKA, drug withdrawals, and post-op complications
• Comfort with Cerner charting system
