Location: Wilkes Barre, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be provided) — facility operates in Eastern Time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients with empathy and professionalism
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Monitor patient status, report changes to the care team, and help implement care plans
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to support recovery and independence
Collaborate closely with RNs, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold facility policies and safety standards

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license (able to practice in Pennsylvania preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification — or willingness to obtain promptly
Clinical experience in a nursing role preferred; strong patient-care skills and professional bedside manner
Valid ID, background check clearance, and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

Vocational nursing diploma or Practical Nursing certificate

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation
Vital signs monitoring and basic assessment skills
Wound care fundamentals and basic dressing changes
Charting in electronic health records (or quick adaptability to EHR systems)
Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
