Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patients' condition throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document findings in the chart
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards
• Respond quickly and professionally during emergencies and assist with interventions

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (or compact/state-appropriate)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged depending on unit
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and managing time effectively
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a care team
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility background and health requirements

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent (for LPN) or relevant nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic clinical procedures
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and charting standards
• Understanding of infection prevention, safety protocols, and patient rights
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
