Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status, record vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Assist with activities of daily living and support patient comfort
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly and effectively to urgent patient needs and emergencies

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (or eligible)
• Registered Nurse (RN) candidates welcome if seeking LPN-level role
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus where applicable
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background/credentialing checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Prior acute care or long-term care experience preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
• Or graduate of an accredited associate/BSN program for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Wound care, IV basics (as appropriate to licensure), and ADL support
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
