Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the shift with attention to detail
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting in the patient chart
• Perform thorough patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe discharge
• Maintain clear, accurate medical records and follow facility policies and protocols
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety standards to protect patients and staff
• Assist with admissions, transfers and safe patient handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain state licensure)
• Active BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB clearance per facility policy
• Comfortable working a 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM day shift schedule
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Basic competency with electronic health record (EHR) documentation

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
• Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs and patient assessments
• Knowledge of wound care, dressing changes, and basic procedures
• Familiar with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Comfortable using EHR systems and basic clinical technology
• IV therapy and advanced skills if within scope of practice (as applicable)
