Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned individuals
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
- Support discharge planning and patient education to promote continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (RN candidates with appropriate license are also considered)
- Minimum relevant clinical experience (facility will discuss preferred years during screening)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program for LPNs
- For RN candidates: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (if applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and nursing assessments
- Comfortable with wound care, ADL assistance, and basic patient procedures
- Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
