Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and elders during overnight hours
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and document patient status accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe transitions of care
• Respond quickly and professionally to changes in patient condition and emergent situations
• Support patients and families with clear communication and emotional reassurance
• Maintain adherence to facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico or compact/state authorization as required
• Recent clinical experience as an LPN or RN in acute care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and ability to work independently overnight

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting practices
• Ability to prioritize care, manage time during busy night shifts, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and supporting patient-family interactions
