Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the cost accounting system to deliver clear, actionable service line profitability analysis that leaders can actually use.
• Publish monthly service line P&Ls and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards so stakeholders see the story behind the numbers.
• Oversee the use of Decision Support tools on strategic and financial planning projects, ensuring analyses are timely and reliable.
• Review feasibility studies produced in STRATA and prepare robust ROI, NPV, IRR and payback analyses for capital decisions.
• Coordinate routine leadership reviews to highlight performance variances and help develop performance improvement plans.
• Prepare and compile data and reports for audits, insurance renewals, FEMA/Single Audits, GME reporting, and external agency reporting.
• Train managers and directors on productivity and forecasting tools and manage ad hoc reporting requests to support operations.
• Mentor the supervisor of decision support and the special projects analyst, growing the team’s capabilities and impact.
• Provide oversight for related software implementations (ERP, leasing software) and assist with STRATA rolling forecast setup and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and/or decision support, preferably in healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or a closely similar platform.
• Proven experience producing service line and physician practice P&Ls and reporting to external rating agencies.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to train managers on productivity and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ERP and leasing software implementations is a plus.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration and financial/healthcare certifications are preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

• Cost accounting, budgeting, and decision support expertise
• STRATA financial software and STRATA rolling forecast experience
• Service line profitability analysis and P&L preparation
• Financial feasibility modeling (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback)
• Forecasting, productivity systems management, and data analysis
• Experience with ERP systems and leasing software
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, bundled payments, and physician reimbursement
• Experience preparing reports for S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA and other external stakeholders
