Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Plant Operations, Environmental Services (EVS), and Grounds to ensure safe, reliable facility function
• Direct and indirectly supervise approximately 45 FTEs across maintenance, operations, and EVS teams
• Develop and enforce job-specific customer service expectations and training plans for staff
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and inspect equipment to meet operational and manufacturer standards
• Manage utility systems (heat, steam, power, gas, oxygen) to maintain continuous support for patient care
• Ensure contractor compliance with hospital policies and regulatory agency requirements
• Act as liaison to other departments to assess facility needs and develop actionable plans
• Maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local building and fire codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Proven experience with HVAC, boiler operation, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general building maintenance
• Knowledge of autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, and construction phasing
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair equipment or systems
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (required)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred)
