Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and handoffs
• Support safe mobility, bathing, feeding, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote quality of life for residents
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment in a small facility

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Experience or comfort working in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings preferred
• Ability to reliably work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and maintain consistent attendance
• Dependable, self-motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset
• Must be able to secure local housing independently for the assignment
• Good communication skills and ability to follow care plans and directions

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and working knowledge of ADLs in an LTC setting
• Familiarity with basic charting and patient observation
• Ability to prioritize tasks during a busy night shift
• Teamwork, clear communication, and a calm approach to resident needs
• Basic understanding of safety, infection control, and resident rights
