Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients during the night shift
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment following infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with nurses and other care team members to ensure continuity of care
• Accurately document patient care and shift notes in the charting system

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active authorization to work in California as a CNA (as applicable)
• Comfortable and available to work 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shifts
• Per-diem availability and flexibility for short-term assignments
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous long-term care, acute care, or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills and understanding of patient safety
• Ability to perform and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Good communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
• Comfortable with electronic charting or paper documentation systems
• Dependable, observant, and able to prioritize patient needs on night shift
