Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM

Hours per Week: 60

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a variety of surgical procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure all instruments and supplies are ready
Accurately track medications, sharps, instruments, and sponges throughout each case
Assemble, operate, and sterilize surgical equipment with precision
Problem-solve in real time to keep procedures running smoothly
Collaborate with the OR team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

Active NBSTSA certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of CST experience in a Level 2 trauma setting
Proficiency in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neurology, Urology, and Gynecology
Recent travel work experience is highly preferred
Strong sterile technique and equipment management skills

Education

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Active NBSTSA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile field protocols
Ability to quickly assemble and verify instruments and equipment
Strong attention to detail when tracking counts and medications
Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced OR environments
