Contract Type: Per-Diem

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support residents with meals and feeding assistance while promoting dignity and independence
Monitor resident condition and promptly report any changes to nursing staff to ensure timely care
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and observations
Help keep resident living areas clean, safe, and comfortable
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that improves quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe resident handling
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Ability to pass required background check and drug screen
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic nursing care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
Infection control and proper hand hygiene practices
Accurate documentation and charting habits
Teamwork and effective communication with residents, families, and staff
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
Compassion, patience, and respect for resident dignity
