Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report clinical changes promptly
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Assist nursing team with treatments, bathing, dressing, and feeding
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts
Promote a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols
Engage residents with respect and preserve dignity through person-centered care
Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Active and clear background checks and required immunizations as per facility policy
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Comfortable with hands-on resident care and mobility assistance

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
Good charting and documentation practices
Strong communication and observational skills
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with residents
