Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant); Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligibility to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screening as required by facility
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and patient-centered
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but caring attitude and coachability are highly valued

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and knowledge of activities of daily living
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility support
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to follow protocols, infection control, and safety guidelines
