Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control procedures
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, and comfort measures while preserving patient dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and other care team members
• Respond promptly to patient needs and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state of Pennsylvania) or equivalent with the ability to obtain state registration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Recent experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with training are welcome
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screen, and health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during assigned shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable taking and accurately recording vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection prevention and safety protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills when collaborating with nursing staff
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
• Compassion, empathy, and patience when working with diverse patient populations
