Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Assist residents safely with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care and resident interactions accurately and timely
Collaborate with the care team to deliver resident-centered care with dignity and respect

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
Comfortable with hands-on resident care and lifting/transfer techniques
Ability to pass background check and facility-required screenings
CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain per facility policy
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
CNA certification from an accredited/state-approved program required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing assistant skills and resident bedside care
Infection control and proper use of PPE
Familiarity with privacy standards (HIPAA) and respectful documentation
Time management to handle scheduled care and unexpected needs
Clear communication with residents, families, and nursing staff
Dependability and a positive, patient-centered approach
