Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 8-hour shifts; schedule varies based on facility needs (flexible pickup shifts)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, promoting resident dignity
Maintain clean, safe resident environments by following infection control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members
Document care activities accurately and timely in the facility records

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (state registry ideal for Pennsylvania placements)
Prior experience in long term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
Dependable, patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills
Reliable transportation for per diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Proven skills in resident bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team
Time management and basic documentation skills
