Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
Measure and record vital signs, intake/output and other observations accurately
Support nursing staff with timely reporting of changes in resident condition
Maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents and visitors
Document care precisely in resident records and follow facility policies

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut (required)
Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings (TB, immunizations as required)
Demonstrated compassion, reliability and strong communication skills
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads are welcome
Willingness to complete facility orientation and mandatory trainings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
Basic vital signs assessment and reporting
Infection control and safe use of PPE
Clear verbal and written communication with residents, families and team members
Basic documentation practices and following care plans
