Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient care and observations clearly and timely in the care record
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members
• Support infection control practices and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to compassionate patient care
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize basic clinical changes
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
