Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 8-hour shifts (exact start and end times vary by assignment)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Accurately document care and observations in facility records
Support teamwork by participating in shift handoffs and care planning

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania
High school diploma or GED preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained shortly after hire
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health checks
Comfortable assisting with mobility and personal care tasks
Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate attitude
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Current CNA certification (state-specific)

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and infection control
Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
Basic charting and record-keeping skills
Good teamwork, time management, and prioritization
Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes promptly
