Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs and communicate changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and a positive patient experience
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care with a compassionate approach
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection control practices and attention to safety
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
