Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly
• Support feeding, positioning, and safe transfer techniques to promote comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and resident interactions
• Collaborate with nursing and care teams to create a warm, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfort working with older adult population and residents with cognitive impairments
• Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care practices and resident assistance
• Skill in safe resident handling, transfer, and mobility support
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate changes in resident status
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience with geriatric needs
• Familiarity with infection control and personal protective equipment use
