Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support nursing staff by reporting changes in patient condition promptly and accurately
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support while promoting independence
Maintain accurate records of care and vital signs, ensuring clear communication with the care team
Help create a comfortable, dignified environment for residents through respectful interactions
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (PA certification preferred)
Comfort with basic clinical tasks such as vital signs, ADLs, and safe patient handling
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to different facility routines

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational knowledge of resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, assisting with mobility, observing changes
Good documentation habits and clear, respectful communication
Infection prevention practices and safe handling techniques
Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and supervisor direction
