Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Document care in a timely and professional manner to keep the team informed
• Collaborate with nurses and staff to implement individualized care plans
• Offer emotional support and engage residents in friendly, respectful conversation

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain state certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and assisting with resident mobility
• Reliable transportation and punctual, professional attendance
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assistant skills including ADL assistance and documentation
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Basic observation and reporting skills to flag changes in condition
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed staff
