Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Belen, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Perform patient transfers, ambulation assistance, and safe mobility support
Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Adhere to infection control, safety policies, and facility procedures
Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and teamwork

Qualifications

Current and valid CNA certification
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks and required immunizations
Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic nursing care, bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
Knowledge of patient transfer techniques and safe body mechanics
Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced setting
